Collaborative Climate Workshop: Linking Causes, Understanding Impacts, Taking Action

A collaborative card-based workshop to rebuild the mechanisms of climate change and discuss them together

Climate issues reach the workplace in fragments: a figure heard in passing, a striking image, a controversy repeated second-hand. Teams have no shared picture of the mechanisms at work, which makes discussion difficult and decisions easy to contest. Top-down presentations are not enough to build that common ground.

This short workshop is built around a set of cards that participants lay out themselves to reconstruct the cause-and-effect links of climate change. The debrief gives space to express what this overall picture prompts, then opens onto the individual and collective room for manoeuvre within the organisation's own context.

Laying out the cards and linking the causes

  • Introduction to the card set and the workshop rules
  • Forming the groups and allocating roles
  • Connecting the cards through cause-and-effect links
  • Discussing points of disagreement within the group

2Debrief and ownership

Putting words to what has been understood

  • Presentation of the completed picture by the participants
  • Clarification of links that have been misplaced
  • Expression of the reactions prompted by the overall picture
  • Identification of the most common misconceptions

3Opening onto action

From findings to room for manoeuvre

  • Distinction between individual levers and organisational levers
  • Connection with the company's own activities
  • Comparison of the orders of magnitude of different actions
  • Formulation of realistic commitments by each participant

Practical details

Before the programme
Online positioning questionnaire. Your development objectives are shared with the trainer, who tailors the practical case studies to your context.
Teaching methods
Theoretical input, workshops and practical case studies. Digital course materials and method sheets provided.
Assessment
Multiple-choice tests and role-play exercises. Assessment of learning at the start and end of the programme, with immediate and 60-day follow-up evaluations.
After the programme
One year of access to the e-learning platform. Self-assessment of the skills acquired and a 30-day follow-up session with your trainer.
