Once the fundamentals are in place, the files that remain are the ones that resist: a consignment shipped to another jurisdiction, excavated soil that nobody will accept, a failing contractor leaving abandoned stockpiles on site. These situations combine administrative enforcement, contractual liability and, at times, formal proceedings.

This 7-hour programme builds on the foundation level and concentrates on complex cases: the regime applicable to transboundary movements of waste, the status of excavated soils and sediments, abandoned waste and the powers of the competent authorities, and how liabilities interact when a service provider defaults. The work is carried out on real files.

3Disputes and Contractor Default
