Description

Supply Chain and AI: Forecasting Demand, Managing Inventory and Flows

One day to make demand forecasts, inventory and transport more reliable using methods your teams can understand

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Expert
  • Up to 6 participants

Forecasting still sits in a spreadsheet fed by history and corrected by hand. Stock-outs and excess inventory coexist, plans change every week and alerts arrive too late to avoid an urgent shipment. The data exists but remains scattered across orders, inventory, suppliers and transport.

This 7-hour programme connects that data to operational decisions. Participants identify the approaches suited to demand forecasting, inventory management and planning, examine the conditions under which they remain reliable, then define the alerts and trade-offs that stay the responsibility of the teams.

Learning objectives

  • Position the contribution of AI to forecasting, inventory and transport
  • Assess the quality of the data available to feed a model
  • Select a forecasting approach suited to a given demand profile
  • Define alerts that operational teams can act upon
  • Frame the decisions that remain the planner's responsibility

What makes this programme different

A diagnostic review of your own forecasting data carried out during the session
A selection grid matching the forecasting approach to the observed demand profile
A set of alerts defined with their trigger and their recipient
