Description

Creativity and Generative AI: Explore, Produce and Filter Ideas Faster

Use generative AI as an exploration partner without delegating your judgement or your originality

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Generative AI produces variations in seconds, yet naive use keeps returning the same predictable proposals. Outputs look alike, the angle stays conventional, and the time saved on production is lost again in sorting. The difficulty lies not in the tool but in the way it is prompted.

One day to embed generative AI within a structured creative approach: prepare the raw material, write instructions that constrain and displace, push the tool towards genuine divergence, then take back control of the selection. Exercises are based on live professional topics brought by participants. Confidentiality and usage rights are addressed throughout.

Learning objectives

  • Prepare the material and context to be supplied to the tool
  • Write instructions that impose genuine creative constraints
  • Generate variations that are meaningfully distinct from one another
  • Assess and select proposals against explicit criteria
  • Identify usage limits regarding confidentiality and rights

What makes this programme different

Instructions are tested and rewritten until the variations show a real spread
Each participant works on a live professional topic
The final selection is made without the tool so that professional judgement is preserved

Programme

1Preparing the Material

What the tool will never guess

  • Gather the context and constraints of the topic
  • Describe the target audience and the intended purpose
  • Provide references and counter-references
  • Define what must not be shared with the tool

2Pushing the Tool Towards Divergence

Moving beyond conventional answers

  • Write tightly constrained instructions
  • Impose specific angles, formats and registers
  • Re-prompt through contradiction and displacement
  • Combine human output with assisted output

3Filtering and Owning the Choice

Taking back control of the decision

  • Assess proposals against stated criteria
  • Spot empty phrasing and repetition
  • Rework a generated idea to make it your own
  • Check confidentiality, sources and usage rights
