Description

Mind Mapping: Structure Information, Retain It and Present Your Ideas

Bring a line of thinking, a file or a meeting onto a single readable page that is easy to pick up again

  • 0.43 days — 3 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Linear notes convey the structure of a subject poorly: the links between elements disappear, re-reading takes time and documents freeze as soon as a new point emerges. Preparing a meeting or a file becomes an accumulation of pages with no overall view.

Three hours online to build mind maps you can genuinely use: choosing the centre and the main branches, applying a few readability rules, enriching the map as your thinking develops and then converting it into an action plan or a presentation aid. Exercises are done first on paper and then with a digital tool.

Learning objectives

  • Build a mind map from a work-related subject
  • Choose the centre, the main branches and their level of detail
  • Apply the readability rules that make a map reusable
  • Take notes in map form during a meeting
  • Convert a map into an action plan or a presentation aid

What makes this programme different

Maps are first drawn by hand before moving to a digital tool
Each participant maps a live file from their own activity
A map produced during the session is converted into a dated action plan
