Description

Sexual Harassment and Sexist Behaviour: Prevention, Reporting and Handling

Characterise the facts, receive a report and manage the follow-up without exposing the people involved

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

A repeated comment, a hand on the shoulder, a joke that makes someone uncomfortable: such situations are rarely reported straight away and, when they are, organisations tend to improvise. Who receives the disclosure, what may be written down, how the person can be protected while the facts are examined without prejudging the outcome: these questions all arise at once.

One day to establish a clear framework: distinguish between the key concepts, recognise sexist behaviour and sexual harassment, know how to receive a report and initiate the appropriate follow-up. Each participant leaves with an internal handling procedure adapted to their organisation.

Learning objectives

  • Distinguish between sexual harassment, sexist behaviour and other forms of misconduct
  • Identify at-risk situations within the organisation and within work teams
  • Receive a report while preserving confidentiality and the safety of those involved
  • Initiate and document the internal follow-up through to the decision
  • Inform and raise awareness among teams about the applicable framework and available channels

What makes this programme different

A reporting interview is conducted as a role play and then reviewed for the quality of the written record produced
Participants draft their internal procedure step by step
Borderline situations are discussed in groups to establish characterisation criteria
