Description

ISO 26000: Mastering the Standard and Building a CSR Approach You Can Steer

Turning the ISO 26000 guidance into a CSR approach that is genuinely deployed across the organisation

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Many CSR initiatives stop once the charter has been drafted. Commitments are published without a costed action plan and stakeholders are consulted only once. Without proper steering the initiative loses momentum and becomes difficult to defend before clients and employees alike.

This programme is devoted to the internal deployment of an approach based on ISO 26000, not to comparing the various frameworks available on the market. Over two days participants carry out a diagnostic against the core subjects, then prioritise their material issues together with their stakeholders. They build an action plan with indicators and organise the steering arrangements.

Learning objectives

  • Carry out a diagnostic of the organisation against the core subjects of the standard
  • Map stakeholders and organise their consultation
  • Prioritise social responsibility issues according to their importance for the organisation
  • Build an action plan with named owners and deadlines
  • Define monitoring indicators proportionate to the resources available
  • Organise the steering and periodic review of the approach

What makes this programme different

The diagnostic is carried out on each participant's own organisation rather than on a theoretical case
A stakeholder consultation is simulated with deliberately conflicting expectations
The action plan produced is costed in workload terms before the end of the session
