Description
HR Communication: Structuring Messages, Leading Meetings and Convincing Audiences
Two days to address technical HR topics in front of employees who never asked to hear them
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
Announcing a reorganisation at a company-wide meeting, running a session on the employee benefits scheme, presenting the annual learning plan to managers: the HR function often speaks to audiences with little appetite for the subject. Technical content lands badly and questions drift towards topics that were never on the agenda.
These 14 hours focus on speaking to internal audiences and on the written communication that follows. Participants structure their message around what the audience must remember, work on voice and nerves, learn to handle a hostile question in front of a group, then draft the follow-up communication. All exercises are performed in front of the group.
Learning objectives
- Structure a message around what the audience must remember
- Translate regulatory information into clear and accessible language
- Lead a group information meeting and manage the discussion
- Respond to a hostile question asked in front of a group
- Draft the internal communication that follows the spoken message
