Description

Purchase Contracts Level 2: Mapping Risks, Managing Performance and Handling Deviations

Move from a signed contract to genuine control of supplier commitments and their drift

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Signed contracts often end up filed away while day-to-day execution is settled over the phone. Service levels are not measured, penalties are never applied and amendments accumulate with no overall view. The day a supplier fails to deliver, the organisation discovers the full extent of its dependency.

Two days at the second level: identify the risks carried by the contract, build the framework for managing execution and address the deviations observed. Where the first level builds the contract, this programme organises its life and its exit.

Learning objectives

  • Map the risks attached to a purchase contract
  • Define indicators for monitoring supplier delivery
  • Organise performance reviews with the supplier
  • Apply penalties and recovery mechanisms
  • Anticipate supplier failure and prepare fallback solutions
  • Manage contract exit or renewal

What makes this programme different

A risk map is built on a live contract brought by participants
The performance management plan and supplier review template are designed and tested in session
Formal notice and fallback decisions are simulated on a supplier failure scenario
