Description
Financial Markets Regulatory Update: Monitoring, Analysis and Application
Turning the continuous flow of regulatory texts and regulator positions into operational decisions
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Expert
- Up to 6 participants
Rules governing financial markets follow one another without leaving time to absorb the previous set. Consultations, implementing regulations, guidance and regulator positions arrive through separate channels. Compliance teams and business heads can no longer tell what is coming into force, what remains under discussion and what falls outside their perimeter.
This short format reviews current developments and their actual scope. It teaches participants how to prioritise a regulatory flow according to the institution's exposure and how to draft an impact note that can be used in committee.
Learning objectives
- Distinguish between levels of regulation and their binding scope for the institution
- Prioritise current regulatory developments according to the exposure of each activity
- Analyse the impact of a new requirement on existing processes and controls
- Formalise a regulatory impact note for the relevant committee
- Organise a sustainable and auditable monitoring process based on official sources
