Description

Illustrator Intermediate: Building Illustrations, Infographics and Logos

Achieve cleaner paths and a stronger method to produce vector visuals that are genuinely workable

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Many Illustrator users draw reasonably well yet produce files that are difficult to pick up again: duplicated paths, unnamed layers, colours outside brand guidelines, logos that cannot be scaled down. The time saved while drawing is lost when the file is reopened, and quality degrades at print or export stage.

These two days consolidate vector drawing practice. Participants revisit the drawing and formatting tools, learn to build a logo that can be adapted across formats, structure a legible infographic and make their exports reliable for both print and screen. Every concept is applied to a file that must remain easy to reopen and edit.

Learning objectives

  • Build clean and editable paths using the pen and shape tools
  • Combine objects with Pathfinder functions and compound shapes
  • Manage colour
  • gradients and appearance attributes in a reusable way
  • Design a logo and its variants for different media
  • Lay out a legible infographic and prepare suitable exports

What makes this programme different

Every exercise requires a clean file that another participant then takes over
A logo is built and then adapted into monochrome and small-format versions
Exports are tested under both print and screen display conditions
