Description

Outlook: Managing Your Inbox, Calendar and Time Effectively

One day to process your email with a method rather than reacting to notifications

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

The inbox overflows, important messages disappear between copies and distribution lists, and the day is spent reacting to arrivals rather than making progress. Meetings overlap, requests received by email never become tasks, and finding information means searching at length through past exchanges.

This 7-hour programme puts a complete organisation in place within Outlook. Participants sort their own mailbox, create automatic filing rules, turn messages into tasks or appointments and structure their calendar. Mailbox and calendar sharing, together with advanced search, complete the day.

Learning objectives

  • Sort your inbox using folders, rules and categories
  • Turn a received message into a task or an appointment
  • Organise your calendar and prepare meetings using participant availability
  • Delegate access to your mailbox and calendar according to your needs
  • Locate a message quickly using search and search folders

What makes this programme different

A clean-up of your own inbox completed during the session
Filing rules created for your own senders and distribution lists
A mail-processing routine defined for the morning and the end of the day
