Description

Canva — AI-Assisted Online Design: Create, Adapt and Share Your Visuals

Produce clean and consistent visuals without professional design software or a graphic design background

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Requests for visuals come from every direction: a poster for an event, a sales document, a social media post. The team has neither an available designer nor a licence for professional design software. Materials produced under pressure drift away from brand guidelines and everyone starts from a different file.

These 14 hours are designed for non-specialists. Participants learn to use an online design tool, build a brand kit and produce visuals adapted to several formats. AI-assisted features are used to generate options, retouch an image and adapt an existing document.

Learning objectives

  • Create a visual from a template and adapt it to the stated requirement
  • Build a brand kit bringing together colours, fonts and logos
  • Adapt a single visual across several distribution formats
  • Use AI-assisted features to generate and retouch elements
  • Share a document and organise collaborative work
  • Export a file in the format suited to its final use

What makes this programme different

A brand kit is built and then applied to every piece of work produced during the session
Each participant leaves with three finished visuals ready for immediate use
The limits of AI-assisted features are demonstrated on cases where they fail
