Description

Adaptive Coaching: Diagnose Your Management Style and Target the Right Levers

A one-day one-to-one coaching session built on a personalised diagnostic to select the right development levers

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • All levels
  • Up to 6 participants

A manager may have attended several training programmes without ever changing the way they lead a team. Group learning stays general, whereas the real difficulty is always specific: one particular team member, a meeting that goes wrong, a decision that keeps being postponed. Without insight into their own patterns, the same reactions resurface under pressure.

The Adaptive Coaching format combines an individual diagnostic completed beforehand with a full day of face-to-face coaching. The participant works on their own real situations and leaves with a development plan whose effects are visible to colleagues.

Learning objectives

  • Analyse your managerial patterns using the results of the diagnostic
  • Identify the professional situations in which these patterns become limiting
  • Select development levers suited to your team context
  • Practise new conversational postures during the coaching session
  • Formalise a personal action plan with observable indicators

What makes this programme different

The diagnostic is completed before the session and serves as the starting point for the work
The day focuses exclusively on situations brought by the participant
The action plan is tested against the real diary so that only realistic commitments remain

Programme

1Diagnostic Debrief

Seeing your patterns clearly

  • Reading the results and identifying dominant traits
  • Comparing the diagnostic with the participant's professional experience
  • Situations where these patterns help and situations where they hinder
  • Formulating the coaching request for the day

2Working on Management Situations

From observation to practice

  • Analysis of a deadlocked situation brought by the participant
  • Identifying automatic reactions under pressure
  • Exploring alternative postures and ways of phrasing
  • Practising a difficult conversation with a team member

3Development Plan and Embedding

Sustaining change over time

  • Selecting two priority levers and setting the others aside
  • Defining indicators that colleagues can observe
  • Anticipating situations where old habits are likely to return
  • Organising follow-up after the coaching session
