Description
IFRS 18: Preparing, Presenting and Comparing Financial Statements
Produce your first set of financial statements under the new presentation format and manage the prior-year comparative period
- 0.43 days — 3 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
The first reporting period presented under the new financial statement presentation requirements raises a very practical difficulty. Balance sheet and income statement line items no longer read as they used to while the comparative period was prepared under the previous presentation. System mappings must be reworked reporting packs checked and variances explained to management as well as to banks.
This three-hour workshop focuses on the production of the primary financial statements themselves and leaves the notes aside. It covers the update of the chart of accounts the allocation of balances across the new line items the restatement of the comparative period and the reconciliation controls to perform before the complete set of statements is released.

- Allocate accounts to the new financial statement line items
- Restate the comparative period so that both periods can be read consistently
