Description
Remote Management: Structuring Follow-Up, Sustaining Connection and Building Accountability
Leading a team you no longer pass in the corridor calls for different reference points and different rituals
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
Working remotely, a manager loses the weak signals of daily life: a team member's hesitation, tension between two colleagues, a workload quietly building up. Exchanges shrink to written messages and video calls in which few people say much. Some managers compensate by adding layers of control; others loosen follow-up and discover the gaps far too late.
This short programme provides practical reference points for organising remote work: availability rules, verifiable objectives, regular one-to-one check-ins and team rituals. Each participant leaves with a written operating framework drafted for their own team.
Learning objectives
- Define availability and responsiveness rules shared by the whole team
- Frame objectives whose progress can be verified remotely
- Conduct a short remote one-to-one check-in
- Facilitate a team meeting by video call without monologues
- Identify signs of disengagement in written exchanges
