Description

Sustainability Reporting: Scoping, Data Collection and Drafting

Organise data collection and draft an assurance-ready sustainability report within closing deadlines

  • 3 days — 21 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

A first sustainability reporting campaign tests organisations that are used to financial information alone: data is scattered across sites and suppliers, calculation methods are undocumented and the audit trail still has to be built. Yet the closing calendar leaves no room for slippage.

Three days to structure the approach, from double materiality assessment through to the external assurance provider's review. Unlike a consolidation module, this session focuses on non-financial information and its traceability.

Learning objectives

  • Define the scope and governance of sustainability reporting
  • Conduct a documented double materiality assessment
  • Organise data collection and build the audit trail
  • Draft the thematic sections of the sustainability report
  • Prepare the file expected by the external assurance provider

What makes this programme different

The reporting campaign is covered end to end from scoping to the assurance review
Participants leave with a template data collection protocol for each indicator
Materiality trade-offs are worked through on cases drawn from different sectors
