Description

Green Taxonomy: Assessing Activities, Documenting and Publishing Alignment Ratios

Turning taxonomy reporting into a structured data-collection exercise rather than an improvised declaration

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

A taxonomy requires answers activity by activity, not at company level. You must first state which activities are eligible, then demonstrate that they are aligned by examining the substantial contribution to an environmental objective, the absence of significant harm and compliance with minimum safeguards. The relevant data sits with operational teams: collection is the real bottleneck.

This seven-hour programme connects the exercise to the sustainability report. Participants learn to map their activities, carry out the alignment analysis, build the three expected ratios and document everything that will later be reviewed.

Learning objectives

  • Map company activities against the activities listed in the taxonomy
  • Distinguish between eligibility and alignment of an activity
  • Analyse substantial contribution and the absence of significant harm
  • Verify compliance with minimum safeguards
  • Calculate the turnover, capital expenditure and operating expenditure ratios
  • Organise data collection and documentation with operational teams

What makes this programme different

Activity mapping is carried out on the participants' own real data
The numerator and denominator of each ratio are reconciled with the annual accounts
A collection plan with owners and supporting evidence is built during the session
