Description

IFRS S2: Identifying Climate Risks, Measuring and Disclosing Information

Move from general statements about climate to measured, verifiable information on your risks

  • 0.43 days — 3 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Climate disclosures often remain declarative. Physical risks and transition risks are mentioned without being linked to specific activities or time horizons. Emissions are estimated from incomplete supplier data, and announced targets are not connected to any documented transition plan.

This short virtual format focuses solely on the climate requirements of IFRS S2 and not on the general sustainability framework. In three hours, participants qualify their physical and transition risks, prepare information on emissions and targets, and structure the description of their transition plan.

Learning objectives

  • Distinguish physical risks from transition risks across your activities
  • Link each risk to a time horizon and to a defined scope of activity
  • Prepare information relating to greenhouse gas emissions
  • Describe a transition plan and its associated targets
  • Document the methods and assumptions used with a view to assurance

What makes this programme different

Risks are mapped to the participants' actual business activities
Emissions data sources are ranked according to their reliability
