Description

Self-Esteem: Strengthening Your Foundations, Overcoming Your Blocks and Taking Action

Three days to stop underestimating yourself at work and take on the initiatives you keep postponing

  • 3 days — 21 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Fragile self-esteem carries a real daily cost at work: the application never submitted, the idea kept to oneself, the request that cannot be declined, the excessive preparation driven by fear of being caught out. The work delivered is often of high quality, yet the person becomes exhausted and stays on the margins of the opportunities that matter.

This 21-hour programme separates self-esteem, self-confidence and assertiveness, then addresses each of these dimensions in turn. Over three days, participants identify their recurring negative judgements, build a factual inventory of their skills and achievements, practise receiving criticism and commit to a professional action they have been putting off.

Learning objectives

  • Distinguish between self-esteem, self-confidence and assertiveness
  • Identify your recurring negative judgements and their triggers
  • Build a factual inventory of your skills and achievements
  • Receive criticism without generalising it to your personal worth
  • Commit to a professional action you have been postponing

What makes this programme different

An inventory of achievements built on evidence rather than impressions
Practice in receiving criticism with feedback calibrated by the group
A professional action genuinely under way before the end of the programme
