Description
Professional Communication: Structuring, Phrasing and Delivering Your Messages
Three days to build clear messages and confirm they are genuinely understood
- 3 days — 21 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
A message its author considers clear often arrives distorted: an instruction interpreted differently, information buried in an overlong email, a decision only half understood. The consequences are tangible: work to be redone, deadlines missed, and friction between departments each blaming the other for the misunderstanding.
This 21-hour programme works on how messages are built and transmitted. Over three days participants learn to isolate the essential point, select the appropriate channel, use precise wording, listen in order to confirm understanding, and rework a message that has not landed. The emails and instructions used in the room are those of the participants themselves.
Learning objectives
- Isolate the essential message within complex information
- Select the channel suited to the stakes and to the recipient
- Phrase an instruction that the recipient can verify
- Practise active listening and reformulation in an exchange
- Rework a message that has been misunderstood
