Description

Preparing for Retirement: Organising the Transition, Rethinking Your Time and Looking Ahead

Two days to prepare for retirement as far more than an administrative formality

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

As the date approaches, attention naturally turns to paperwork. Yet what unsettles people most comes afterwards: days without structure, a professional network that gradually fades, a social role that disappears overnight. The subject is rarely discussed until it is already upon us.

This 14-hour programme addresses the transition in all its dimensions. Participants clarify their timeline and the steps to initiate, anticipate how their budget will change, think through how they will organise their time, and identify the activities and relationships they wish to build. Each participant leaves with a personal transition plan.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the steps to initiate and the order in which to complete them
  • Anticipate how income and expenditure will change
  • Organise the use of your time once professional activity ends
  • Identify the social connections to maintain or build
  • Formalise a transition plan for the months leading up to departure

What makes this programme different

A personal timeline of administrative steps built during the programme
Focused work on the first few months, a period consistently underestimated
Peer exchange with others going through the same transition
