Description
Getting to the Point: Concise Writing, Clear Structure, Persuasive Delivery
Say and write in two minutes what used to take ten, without losing any substance
- 4 days — 28 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
Decision-makers skim and rarely listen for long. Yet messages keep arriving as emails with no clear subject line, notes whose conclusion sits on the last page, and spoken contributions that get lost in preamble. The work is sound but it is neither read nor remembered.
Four days to learn how to identify the essential message and then carry it in writing and in speech. Participants work on their own documents and their own presentations. Every piece of work is reworked until a short version is produced that retains all the useful information.
Learning objectives
- Identify the essential message in a file and express it in a single sentence
- Structure a business document by placing the conclusion first
- Shorten a long document without losing decisive information
- Build a short and well-argued spoken contribution
- Answer an unexpected question concisely
