Description

Professional Ikigai: Clarify Your Drivers, Combine Your Strengths and Act

Clarify what gives your work meaning so you can guide your next professional choices

  • 0.43 days — 3 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Many professionals progress through their careers without ever putting into words what genuinely motivates them. Opportunities appear, decisions are made by default, and the feeling of holding a role that does not quite fit takes hold.

Three hours to explore four simple questions: what you enjoy doing, what you are good at, what others come to you for, and what your environment actually needs. You leave with a short personal statement and two or three concrete courses of action.

Learning objectives

  • Put into words what brings satisfaction in your current role
  • Identify the skills your professional network recognises in you
  • Match your personal drivers with the needs of your environment
  • Define two or three concrete actions to launch in the short term

What makes this programme different

Guided individual work with feedback shared in a small group
Systematic cross-referencing between what you enjoy and what others value in you
You leave the session with dated actions rather than good intentions

Programme

1What Sets You in Motion

Starting from lived experience rather than labels

  • Spot the moments at work that give you energy
  • Distinguish between a passing satisfaction and a lasting driver
  • Identify what drains or disengages you
  • Put your work values into words

2Recognised Strengths and Real Needs

Comparing self-perception with how others see you

  • List the skills genuinely called upon in your role
  • Gather what others come to you for
  • Observe the needs of your professional environment
  • Identify where the two overlap

3From Clarity to Action

A direction that fits into a single sentence

  • Draft a short personal statement
  • Test its consistency with your current situation
  • Select actions that are achievable in the short term
  • Set a review point with a fixed deadline

Who is it for
