An inspection visit, a complaint from a neighbouring occupier, a discharge reported to the competent authority: entering the enforcement arena is rarely anticipated. Management then discovers that personal liability may be pursued alongside that of the legal entity, and that the delegation of authority believed to be watertight does not withstand scrutiny.

This seven-hour programme is designed for experienced practitioners. It covers how breaches are recorded, the interaction between administrative action and enforcement proceedings, how liability is attributed, the real scope of a delegation of authority and the available routes to negotiated settlement under UAE federal and emirate-level environmental frameworks.
