Description

Trainer Communication: Voice Control, Attention and Group Management

One day of practice to hold a group without straining your voice or losing momentum

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

The trainer knows the subject, yet the room disengages before the break. The voice tires by late morning, instructions have to be repeated three times, one participant takes up all the speaking time while the others stay silent, and a single unexpected question is enough to derail the running order.

These 7 hours are devoted to practice rather than theory. Each participant takes the floor several times in front of the group, on sequences of increasing difficulty. The work covers voice, eye contact and movement, the wording of instructions, then group management in the face of silence and objections.

Learning objectives

  • Control your voice and pace to remain audible throughout a full sequence
  • Use eye contact, movement and silence to sustain attention
  • Word a task instruction so that it is understood without repeated rephrasing
  • Re-engage a passive group using appropriate prompting techniques
  • Respond to an objection or an unexpected question without losing the thread

What makes this programme different
