Description

AI for Debt Collection: Prioritising Follow-Ups, Drafting Letters and Tracking Outstanding Balances

Managing a receivables portfolio too large to be chased account by account by hand

  • 0.43 days — 3 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Collection officers chase invoices in due-date order rather than risk order. Easy files are handled before those that genuinely weigh on cash flow. Follow-up letters are drafted one by one and the payment promise obtained over the telephone is lost somewhere between two spreadsheets.

This short virtual format shows what artificial intelligence tools bring to debt collection and what they do not. In three hours, participants build a rule for prioritising follow-ups, produce letter templates adapted to the debtor profile and set up a payment-promise tracking routine.

Learning objectives

  • Rank a receivables portfolio according to risk and financial exposure
  • Use a conversational assistant to produce tailored follow-up letters
  • Prepare a collection call from the account history
  • Control the confidentiality of data submitted to an external tool
  • Set up tracking of the payment promises obtained

What makes this programme different

Each participant leaves with their own follow-up templates produced during the session
The prioritisation rule is applied to a real portfolio from the organisation
Data submitted to the tools is screened before any use
