Description

AI and Business Systems: Connecting, Automating and Securing CRM and ERP Flows

One day to plug AI into the data that runs the business instead of working alongside it

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Expert
  • Up to 6 participants

Generative assistants too often sit outside the information system: sales teams copy a customer record into a chat window, the answer comes back in another tool and nothing is recorded in the CRM. Value is lost between two manual copies and sensitive data circulates without control.

These 7 hours address both the technical connection and its organisational framework. Participants learn to identify the entry points of a CRM or an ERP, to move data through application interfaces, to insert model-based processing into an existing workflow, then to define access rights and traceability for these exchanges.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the usable entry points of a CRM or an ERP
  • Move data through application interfaces and event triggers
  • Insert model-based processing into an existing business workflow
  • Define access rights and traceability for exchanges
  • Assess the cost and maintenance load of an integration

What makes this programme different

An integration built live in session between a business tool and a model
A map of data flows and the rights attached to each exchange
A costing of the maintenance to plan for after go-live

Programme

1Mapping the Flows

Where to plug in AI without rebuilding everything

  • Inventory of usable objects and fields
  • Trigger events available within the tool
  • Sensitivity of the data being handled
  • Choosing between real-time and deferred processing

2Building the Integration

Moving the data

  • Application interfaces: authentication and quotas
  • Exchange formats and field mapping
  • Model-based processing and structured output
  • Controlled write-back into the business tool
  • Error handling and retries

3Securing and Operating

Making it last

  • Access rights and segregation by profile
  • Logging of calls and write operations
  • Human validation for sensitive actions
  • Monitoring of costs and volumes
  • Tool versions and integration debt

Who is it for

Application administrators responsible for information systems and technical leads tasked with integrating AI into existing tools.

Prerequisites

Working knowledge of CRM or ERP administration and a basic understanding of application interfaces.
