Description
Import and Export Orders: Securing, Documenting and Tracking Your Operations
Process an export order from confirmation to payment with no documentary gaps and no customs hold-ups
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
An export order involves a set of documents that nobody truly centralises. The commercial invoice is issued without the expected certificate of origin. The declaration relies on an approximate tariff classification. The documentary credit is rejected because a deadline has passed. Every discrepancy translates into delivery delays and cash tied up.
These two days provide a clear structure for the administrative handling of import and export orders. You build the complete documentary file for a shipment. You connect the Incoterm, the payment method and the documents required. You check a document set before departure. You finally know what to verify in order to avoid a bank rejection or goods held at customs.
Learning objectives
- Describe the cycle of an import or export order from confirmation to payment
- Select the Incoterm suited to the flow and apply its documentary consequences
- Assemble the document set required for a shipment
- Check the compliance of a presentation under a documentary credit
- Anticipate the customs obligations attached to an operation
