Description
Key Management Moments: Correcting, Recognising, Announcing and Declining Without Damaging the Relationship
Two days to master the short conversations that shape a manager's reputation within the team
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
A manager is judged on a handful of decisive minutes. The corrective conversation postponed for three weeks. The recognition never expressed. The unpopular decision announced hastily in a corridor. These brief moments leave a lasting mark on the relationship with the team.
Over two days, this programme reviews the recurring management situations and the right way to handle them. Each key moment is prepared, practised and then debriefed with the group, so that you leave with a ready-to-use framework you can apply as soon as you return to work.
Learning objectives
- Conduct a corrective conversation grounded in dated, factual evidence
- Express precise and credible recognition to a team member
- Announce a non-negotiable decision without reopening debate on the principle
- Welcome a new joiner and a team member returning from an absence
- Handle an individual request that cannot be granted
