Description

Managing with AI: Equipping Your Daily Practice, Framing Usage and Supporting Your Team

Save time on repetitive management tasks and set clear usage rules for your team

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Conversational assistants are already in use across many teams without anyone having defined what is permitted. Each person invents their own rules for the information they share, and the manager discovers the practices at the same time as the mistakes.

These two days are designed for managers who want to use these tools in their own work and to frame their team's use of them. Participants experiment with concrete management use cases, then build internal rules and prepare to support their team members. No technical background is required.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the management tasks where an assistant delivers a genuine gain
  • Formulate precise instructions to obtain a usable output
  • Review and correct a generated output before using it
  • Define usage and confidentiality rules for your team
  • Support your team members in adopting these tools

What makes this programme different

Real management cases worked through live on the tools during the session
A usage charter drafted by each participant for their own team
Dedicated time for the critical review of the outputs obtained

Programme

1What these tools do and do not do

Identifying the use cases that matter for a manager

  • The types of task where an assistant genuinely saves time
  • The outputs that should never be reused without verification
  • The limits linked to information shared with an external service
  • The management situations where the tool has no place

2Framing your request and obtaining a useful result

The quality of the request determines the answer

  • Structuring a request with context and an expected format
  • Providing examples to frame the style of the response
  • Reworking an inadequate response through successive iterations
  • Building a library of reusable requests

3Day-to-day management use cases

Preparation, minutes and analysis

  • Preparing a one-to-one meeting or a team meeting from your notes
  • Drafting minutes and extracting the decisions taken
  • Summarising team feedback or open-ended responses
  • Exploring several options before making a decision

4Framing your team's use of the tools

Internal rules and team support

  • Defining what may be shared with an external tool
  • Setting usage rules that everyone can understand
  • Handling differences in skill levels between team members
  • Responding to concerns about how roles will evolve
