Description

Digital Literacy: Understanding Technologies, Uses and How to Engage

Two days to clarify digital vocabulary and follow projects as a contributor rather than a spectator

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Meetings fill up with acronyms and tools that everyone uses with a different meaning. Decisions on data, hosting or artificial intelligence are taken without business functions being able to weigh in. The result is dependence on vendors and trade-offs that are simply imposed.

These 14 hours rebuild an overall view of digital technology for non-specialists. Participants learn to situate the main technical building blocks, identify the uses that are transforming their role, recognise the questions to ask about data and security, and prepare their contribution to ongoing projects.

Learning objectives

  • Situate the main technical building blocks of a digital system
  • Describe the digital uses transforming roles within your organisation
  • Identify the questions to ask about data collection and data use
  • Recognise the benefits and limits of artificial intelligence in your activity
  • Formulate a clear request to a vendor or a technical team

What makes this programme different

A digital glossary built and validated during the session
A guided review of successful digital projects and abandoned ones
A list of questions to ask before approving a digital project
