Description

CSR Level 1: Understanding the Framework, Mapping the Issues and Assessing Where You Stand

Understand what corporate social responsibility actually covers and assess your organisation's position before launching any initiative

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

CSR often arrives from the outside: a client requests an assessment, a tender includes an environmental section, a candidate asks the company about its commitments. Internally, everyone has their own definition, somewhere between communication, compliance and philanthropy. Without shared reference points, the effort loses direction.

These two days establish the foundations of corporate social responsibility: the content and scope of the concept, stakeholder expectations, the main families of environmental, social and governance issues, the vocabulary of recognised frameworks and a method for taking stock. By the end, you can position your organisation and propose realistic priority workstreams.

Learning objectives

  • Define corporate social responsibility and its main areas of application
  • Identify the organisation's stakeholders and their expectations
  • Distinguish the environmental, social and governance issues specific to your activity
  • Position the main reference frameworks and existing assessment approaches
  • Produce an initial situation review and propose priority workstreams

What makes this programme different

Stakeholder mapping built on each participant's own organisation
Clarification of terminology to avoid confusion between compliance and commitment
Maturity self-assessment designed to open the discussion internally
