Description

Health and Safety Regulations: Identifying, Applying and Documenting Your Obligations

Know exactly what an employer must do on health and safety and how to prove it

  • 4 days — 28 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • All levels
  • Up to 6 participants

An employer's duty of care is judged on evidence: an up-to-date risk assessment register, documented training records, periodic equipment inspections carried out, prevention actions launched. Many organisations apply genuine measures yet cannot demonstrate a single one of them on the day of an inspection or an accident.

Four days to review the full set of obligations and build the matching evidence framework. The programme covers responsibilities and prevention stakeholders, risk assessment and the risk register, equipment and specific hazards, employee health monitoring and contractor management, then accident handling.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the employer's obligations in respect of health and safety
  • Position the responsibilities of each prevention stakeholder
  • Update the workplace risk assessment register
  • Organise periodic inspections and their traceability
  • Control the work of external contractors on site
  • Handle a workplace accident and conduct a root cause analysis

What makes this programme different

Each obligation is matched with the evidence that demonstrates it
A participant's own risk assessment register is reviewed and completed in session
A regulatory inspection is simulated with requests for supporting documents
