Description
Internal Communication: Engaging Teams, Managing Channels and Measuring Engagement
Move beyond top-down messaging and build internal conversations that teams actually take part in
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- All levels
- Up to 6 participants
Internal messages leave the executive floor and often stop at the first line of management. The intranet is rarely consulted, circulars are skimmed and employees hear the news through informal channels first. Internal communication then amounts to broadcasting without feedback.
This 14-hour programme treats internal communication as a two-way system. Participants review existing channels, select participative formats, organise contributions from teams and prepare the managers who act as message relays. Exercises are offered at varying levels of difficulty so that the session suits all profiles.
Learning objectives
- Review existing internal channels and how they are genuinely used
- Design participative formats that involve employees in producing content
- Equip relay managers to carry a message to their own teams
- Organise the upward flow of questions and feedback from the field
- Track internal engagement using a small set of clear indicators
