Description

Transactional Analysis: Decoding, Regulating and Clearing Up Working Relationships

Three days to understand what is really happening in difficult exchanges and regain control of the relationship

  • 3 days — 21 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Some exchanges go wrong for no obvious reason: one colleague adopts a paternal tone, another withdraws, a meeting drifts into blame. These patterns repeat themselves and weigh on the working climate, without the people involved being able to name them or interrupt them.

This 21-hour intermediate programme uses the concepts of transactional analysis as a practical reading grid. Over three days, participants learn to identify the ego states at play in an exchange, to pinpoint the moment a transaction goes off track and to adjust their own contribution in order to restore a workable professional relationship.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the ego states at play in a professional exchange
  • Analyse a transaction that goes off track using a real dialogue
  • Recognise recurring relational patterns within a team
  • Adjust your own contribution to interrupt an unproductive sequence
  • Use recognition signals to sustain the working relationship

What makes this programme different

Each concept is immediately applied to a dialogue brought by a participant
Difficult exchanges are transcribed then rewritten line by line
A reading grid you can use in meetings from your first day back
