Description

Self-Awareness and Understanding Others: Exploring, Decoding and Adjusting Your Relationships

Five days to observe your own reactions, understand those of others and adjust the way you relate to people

  • 5 days — 35 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

At work, the same episodes keep recurring: a comment that irritates, a colleague seen as unpredictable, a meeting where you stay silent although you had something to say. Without perspective, everyone puts these situations down to other people's personalities and repeats the same responses.

This 35-hour in-person programme offers sustained work over five days: spotting your automatic reactions, identifying your needs and values, observing how the people around you operate and experimenting with other ways of relating. Role-play exercises and feedback from the group are the main working material of the course.

Learning objectives

  • Identify your automatic reactions in tense workplace situations
  • Clarify your needs, your values and your areas of sensitivity
  • Describe how another person operates in relationships, based on observable facts
  • Adapt the way you communicate to the way your counterpart operates
  • Give feedback to a colleague without judging the person
  • Build a three-month relational development plan

What makes this programme different

Five days that allow time to experiment and then replay the same situations
A relational logbook kept throughout the programme
An individual development plan formalised and presented to the group on the final day
