Description
Event Management: Scoping the Project, Running the Logistics and Measuring Impact
Two days to move from an event idea to a fully controlled operation on the day itself
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
Corporate events are often decided quickly and prepared under pressure: suppliers appointed without a brief, budgets drifting, invitations sent too late and, on the day, a half-empty room. Afterwards, nobody can say whether the operation achieved anything at all.
These 14 hours follow the full sequence of an in-person event: scoping objectives and target audience, building the budget, selecting suppliers, planning invitations and follow-ups, designing the welcome journey and on-site coordination, then reviewing results. Each participant works on a real event and leaves with a completed reverse schedule and budget.
Learning objectives
- Define the objective and target audience of an event in a one-page scoping document
- Build a detailed forecast budget broken down by cost line
- Write a brief for suppliers and venues
- Build a reverse schedule with invitation and follow-up milestones
- Organise on-site coordination and the allocation of roles
- Produce a quantitative and qualitative review after the event
