Description
Internal Anti-Bribery Whistleblowing Channel: Intake, Investigation and Crisis Handling
A report lands on a Friday evening and no one knows who opens it or how long it can wait
- 1 day — 7 h
- In-person or virtual
- Expert
- Up to 6 participants
A bribery concern rarely arrives in the format the procedure anticipates. It comes through a named email, a phone call to a line manager or a remark dropped in a meeting. The organisation then discovers that the handling chain does not hold: deadlines missed, confidentiality weakened, and the investigation assigned to people who are themselves in a conflict of interest.
One day to secure the channel end to end: receiving and qualifying the report, conducting the internal investigation, protecting the reporting person, connecting with the crisis team and deciding on disciplinary or referral outcomes. All work is based on reconstructed reports.
Learning objectives
- Qualify an incoming report and decide whether it is admissible
- Conduct an internal investigation while preserving confidentiality and the rights of the individuals involved
- Organise protection of the reporting person against retaliation
- Connect the handling of the report with the crisis team and communication function
- Decide on disciplinary outcomes and referrals to the competent authorities
- Document the steps taken so that they can be evidenced during a review or audit
