Description

Unlawful Competition Practices: Spotting Risks, Preventing and Responding

Identify which everyday business practices expose the company to competition sanctions

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

An exchange of information between competitors at an industry meeting, a price instruction sent to distributors, a refusal to supply a reseller considered too aggressive: routine practices may amount to infringements. Commercial teams do not recognise them, and the messages kept in mailboxes become the evidence used against the company.

This one-day programme describes prohibited practices as they actually appear in commercial life, then equips participants to build a prevention framework: mapping of risk situations, written rules of conduct, awareness-raising for teams and the correct behaviour during an inspection visit by the competent authority.

Learning objectives

  • Identify prohibited practices in common commercial situations
  • Spot the risks linked to exchanges between competitors and to industry meetings
  • Build rules of conduct that commercial teams can actually apply
  • Organise the behaviour to adopt during an inspection visit
  • Respond to the internal discovery of a practice likely to be sanctioned

What makes this programme different

Risk situations are identified from real messages and meeting minutes
The conduct to adopt during an inspection visit is rehearsed step by step
Rules of conduct are drafted in language that sales teams can use
