Description
Emotional Intelligence: Assessing Your Abilities, Developing Empathy and Making Better Decisions
Two days to turn emotions into useful information for workplace decisions and relationships
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
In most organisations, emotions are treated as interference to be neutralised. Yet they carry usable information: persistent irritation signals a malfunction, unease in a meeting reveals an unspoken disagreement, collective enthusiasm points to an opportunity worth seizing.
This 14-hour programme offers a structured approach: assessing your emotional abilities, self-awareness, self-regulation, reading the emotions of others and using that information in decisions and team leadership. It differs from programmes focused solely on personal regulation through its relational and decision-making dimension.
Learning objectives
- Assess your emotional abilities using a self-diagnostic tool
- Interpret an emotion you feel as information about a situation
- Regulate an emotional reaction before an important decision
- Read the emotional signals of an individual or a group
- Give feedback that takes account of the other person's emotional state
- Use emotional information when leading a team
