Description

Learning How to Learn: Choosing Your Method, Reviewing Effectively and Transferring to the Job

Acquire new skills faster and stop forgetting the essentials of a training course within two weeks

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Roles evolve, tools change and everyone is expected to keep learning without setting aside long blocks of time. Yet most of us still rely on school habits: re-reading, highlighting, piling up notes. The effort is genuine, but the content fades quickly and rarely turns into practice on the job.

Two days to understand what makes learning stick, select methods suited to the type of content, organise effective review cycles and prepare the transfer of learning to real working situations.

Learning objectives

  • Identify your own learning habits and their limitations
  • Select a learning method suited to the type of content targeted
  • Organise short working sessions and spaced review cycles
  • Use self-testing and explaining to others to consolidate learning
  • Prepare the transfer of a new skill to a real working situation

What makes this programme different

Each participant applies the methods to content they genuinely need to master
A live demonstration of the effectiveness gap between re-reading and self-testing
A six-week learning plan built before the end of the programme
