Description

Accounting Standards Update 2027: Identify, Apply and Evidence

Embed the year's accounting changes before you start preparing the annual financial statements

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Every financial year brings its share of changes to accounting requirements: new treatments, clarifications issued by standard setters, adjustments to the presentation of financial statements. Finance teams often discover them late, at closing, once the entries have been posted and the accounting options already taken.

This seven-hour programme reviews the changes applicable to the current financial year and how they translate concretely into the accounts. Each change is presented together with the entries concerned, the disclosures expected in the notes and the points the external auditor will focus on. Participants leave with a checklist of verifications to add to their closing file.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the accounting changes applicable to the current financial year
  • Translate these changes into journal entries and presentation options
  • Adapt the notes to the financial statements to the new disclosure requirements
  • Anticipate the effects on profit for the year and on equity
  • Organise the corresponding closing controls within the working file
