Description
Advanced Technical Analysis: Combining Signals, Validating Setups and Managing Risk
Move beyond pattern reading to build validated scenarios and a disciplined risk management framework
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Expert
- Up to 6 participants
Experienced analysts already know the chart patterns and the indicators. Their difficulty lies elsewhere: signals contradict one another depending on the time horizon, setups fail without warning, and performance depends far more on position sizing than on the accuracy of the chart diagnosis.
Two expert-level days to build a decision-making method: multi-horizon analysis, combining tools drawn from different indicator families, statistical validation of a setup, then position sizing and ongoing risk monitoring. This session follows on from the fundamentals module and assumes regular hands-on chart reading practice.
Learning objectives
- Align chart analysis across several time horizons
- Combine tools drawn from different indicator families
- Assess the reliability of a setup before trading it
- Size a position according to the risk accepted
- Build a position monitoring and exit protocol
What makes this programme different
Programme
1Multi-Horizon Analysis
Deciding when time scales contradict each other
- Align long, medium and short horizons

2Combining Tools
Avoiding a stack of redundant indicators
- Distinguish trend indicators from momentum indicators
- Detect redundancy between tools
- Build a cluster of confirmation signals
- Incorporate volume and volatility into the reading
3Validating Setups
Measure before you believe
