Description

Business Writing Accuracy Level 1: Revisiting the Rules, Getting Agreement Right and Proofreading Your Work

Rebuild simple reference points so you no longer hesitate over grammar choices and can proofread your writing with confidence

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Written accuracy remains a source of anxiety for many professionals. The fear of making a mistake slows drafting down, leads people to reread a five-line message ten times and sometimes to avoid certain documents altogether. The rules learned at school have blurred over the years.

Two days to put back in place the rules that matter most in professional writing: noun and modifier agreement, the tenses used day to day, common participle forms and the confusions that appear most often. Progress is made through short exercises and guided corrections.

Learning objectives

  • Apply the rules of agreement between nouns determiners and modifiers
  • Use the tenses most common in professional writing without error
  • Form and use past participles correctly in everyday cases
  • Distinguish the most frequent grammatical confusions and homophones
  • Proofread a short document using a structured error-detection method

What makes this programme different
