Description

CIA Certification: Preparing for the Exam, Structuring Your Approach and Revising Effectively

Organise your preparation for the CIA certification and understand what each part of the exam expects

  • 4 days — 28 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • All levels
  • Up to 6 participants

The CIA certification calls for something other than a sound command of the internal audit role. The exam tests a precise body of knowledge, in a style that unsettles experienced professionals: short questions, answer options that all sound plausible, and an expected response driven by standards rather than pragmatism. Many candidates prepare on their own and only discover the gap on exam day.

Two hours to frame your preparation: the structure of the exam parts, the logic behind the questions, revision method and how to spread the effort over time. This short format is a starting point for a personal revision plan and does not replace study of the underlying body of knowledge.

Learning objectives

  • Describe the structure and format of the CIA certification exam parts
  • Identify the knowledge areas that most often make the difference
  • Analyse the way multiple-choice questions are worded
  • Assess your starting level area by area
  • Build a revision plan spread over several weeks

What makes this programme different

A breakdown of the exam parts area by area
A decoding of the wording traps specific to multiple-choice questions
A personal revision plan built during the session
