Description
Collaborative Meetings: Designing Workshops, Facilitating and Getting the Group to Produce
Move from meetings where people listen to workshops where the group delivers a usable output
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
A facilitator may master the basic rules of running a meeting yet remain stuck in one-way presentation mode. Participants nod without committing, ideas stay in the minds of a few, and complex topics are never genuinely examined collectively. Improvised participative formats often turn into discussion without output.
This intermediate module focuses on workshop design: selecting a collective intelligence technique suited to the objective, writing a sequence-by-sequence run sheet, facilitating sub-groups and presenting an output that can actually be used. Each participant builds and tests a workshop drawn from their own working context.
Learning objectives
- Select a collective intelligence technique suited to the intended objective
- Write a workshop run sheet sequence by sequence, including instructions
- Draft unambiguous sub-group instructions
- Facilitate collective production while remaining the guardian of time
- Present the outputs in a directly usable form
