Description
Commercial Multi-Risk Insurance: Analysing Risk, Structuring Cover and Advising Clients
Build a multi-risk offer that genuinely protects the insured business owner's operations and assets
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
A commercial multi-risk policy signed without a serious analysis of the business always shows its weaknesses at claim stage: undervalued sums insured, poorly declared stock, an ancillary activity never mentioned, business interruption cover estimated by guesswork. The client then discovers the limits of the contract and turns to whoever sold it.
Two days focused on property damage and business interruption cover for commercial clients: analysing the activity, sizing the sums insured, explaining exclusions and documenting the advice given. Liability cover is addressed in a separate programme in our catalogue.
Learning objectives
- Analyse the client's activity and its real exposures
- Size the sums insured and the covers of the policy
- Explain exclusions and cover conditions to the client
- Propose business interruption cover consistent with the activity
- Document the advisory process in the underwriting file
