Description
CSR and Allies Theory: Mapping, Mobilising and Engaging Stakeholders
Advance a CSR project by building on your supporters rather than trying to win over opponents
- 0.43 days — 3 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
A CSR project brings together players with diverging interests: operational departments, suppliers, employee representatives or local communities. Project owners most often spend their energy on declared opponents while overlooking the quiet supporters who would genuinely move the file forward.
This three-hour workshop applies allies theory to a CSR initiative: mapping stakeholders according to their position, selecting the players to mobilise first, building progressive commitments and sustaining the relationship over time. Participants map their own project.
Learning objectives
- Map the stakeholders of a CSR project according to their position
- Distinguish allies from undecided players and opponents
- Select the players on whom to concentrate mobilisation effort
- Build progressive commitments suited to each group
- Sustain stakeholder relationships over time
