Description

Digital Learning Projects: Scoping, Producing Resources and Rolling Out

Five hours online to run a digitalisation project without getting lost in tool selection

  • 0.75 days — 5.25 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • All levels
  • Up to 6 participants

The decision has been made to digitalise part of the training catalogue. The platform is chosen before the need is defined, resources are produced under pressure and then barely accessed, and the budget only becomes clear halfway through. No one can say what an hour of content actually costs or how learners will be supported.

These 5 hours 15 minutes in a virtual classroom follow the project in its real sequence. Participants draft a scoping note, select delivery formats in line with the learning objectives, estimate the production effort for each building block, then organise the roll-out and monitor actual usage. Managing training projects in general is covered in a separate programme.

Learning objectives

  • Scope a digitalisation project based on the identified need and organisational constraints
  • Select the digital delivery formats best suited to the intended objectives
  • Estimate the production effort required for a digital learning resource
  • Organise the roll-out to learners and line managers
  • Monitor actual usage and decide on adjustments

What makes this programme different

A scoping note drafted step by step during the programme
Production effort benchmarks for each type of digital learning resource
A short virtual format compatible with ongoing professional commitments
